Thimble, Casting with Closed End
This thimble is casted with stainless steel 304/316 material and it is the type of thimble with closed end.
The thimble is used to protect the eyes of the cable and the rope sling by providing a strong steel barrier between the fragile cable strand and other rigging fittings used in connection.
The thimble also prevents eye deformation or kinking by giving the cable eye of the structure after repeated high load use, wear and kinking can reduce the strength of the cable and may lead to premature failure.
